1939 Buick Special
SOLD!

This 1939 Buick Special is special; this well maintained solid vehicle, with only 53,140 miles, has been under a constant restoration process over time as it is also being driven to shows and cruise's. The inline 8 cylinder engine runs excellently, powering this attractive sedan quietly down the road with its 3 speed manual transmission.
This car has a lot of firsts to it; first year for column shift, first year for factory directional's and the only year for its very distinctive grill design. Also; there is a very rare accessory, the side view mirror with thermometer as part of stanchion. This is a get in and drive car, improve as you go at your leisure.
The pluses and minuses are: Interior was completely reupholstered in the mid 1990's, the entire car was repainted in its original Black color in 2000, vehicle was always mechanically maintained as the priority, the motor and transmission mounts were replaced in 2001 as well as having the shock absorbers rebuilt. Car has always been garaged. Except for some rust on the rear roll pan there is no other rust or rot on the car, the underneath is rust free, albeit dirty with a coating of oil and grease. No oil leaks, just the normal weeping as is expected. The original door weather stripping is in place but could be replaced if you wish it to be weather tight. All the glass is good shape with some delamination starting, but not in any field of driving vision. All the windows operate as they should including the rear sliding quarter windows. The horn button will need restoration, all the parts are included, but not on the steering wheel, which is aged cracked, there is an additional horn button installed at present. The gauges work and are in excellent condition. The wide white wall tires add to the distinctive look and have plenty of tread life left, for miles you will eventually drive. The brakes stop the car straight and true.
Included with the car is the original owner's bill of sale from the dealership, warranty card and brochure, all the instructional attachment cards, sales brochures, and show information boards about the car.
This car is very presentable to show at the local level without embarrassment; you won't be disappointed with this gem of fun. You will find this car described honestly and is priced accordingly.

1941 Buick Super 50 Series

The perfect starter car for the new collector car hobbyist. This 1941 Buick Super, Series 50, which has been sitting idle in a garage for several years, now running, is a complete original car that has had the interior reupholstered in Cream Beige, and a repaint, Buick Green. This is a rot/ rust free car, body and floor in excellent condition, all stainless and chrome pieces are there, some of the pot metal pieces are showing the pits from age. The 248 ci. inline 8 cylinder engine runs good, no smoke. The 3 speed manual column shift transmission has a growl in 2nd gear, but no noise when in 3rd and cruising, clutch is fine, brakes work good, the lever action hydraulic shocks are a little spongy from sitting, the car rides decent considering the bias ply tires, recommend replacement as there are some cracks on the inside sidewalls. The lights work, the radio, and heater do not work at present. The weather stripping is well worn and will need replacement to make the car weather tight, no broken glass. One of the most interesting features of this car is the side opening hood, which can be opened from either side or completely removed. Vehicle is very presentable as is.

1948 Chevrolet Grinding Truck
SOLD!

For your consideration; we have for sale, a 1948 Chevrolet "Walk-in" Knife/Scissor Sharpening Business Truck. This truck is a true barn find; put away in a commercial garage in the early 70's and not brought out until January 2009. The truck does run/ drive and stop. This is a rust/ rot free vehicle with the original glass, seats, cabinetry, benches, and tools still in place. There is a Wisconsin pony motor that powers the belt driven axle under the bench, which powers the entire belt driven buffers and grinding wheel. There are drawers filled with knives, and tools used.
Even the 1955 newspaper that lines the bottom of the drawers is still legible.
You can see that even though this was a work truck it was taken care of. The body of the truck is wood framed with aluminum skinning, with a bifold walk-in door. I have not been able to find a body tag, to determine the manufacturer.
The engine is the 235 6 cylinder with a 4 speed transmission. Dual vacuum wipers, and directional signals installed as new. There is still the full size spare under the rear of the truck. The tires were obviously replaced a short time before the truck was retired as the tread on the tires is quite deep.
This truck is in exceptionally good condition.
